Election - July 2008

Hear ye! Hear ye!

It is with great pleasure that the Not-PBBMCSCSP party stands up and announces its intentions to contest the most recent DA Politics Forum election.

Before outlining our platform and naming our official list of candidates, the Not-PBBMCSCSP party wishes to pass a few, brief comments on the last parliament, which it led. This government promised much, and delivered very little. In office, the parliament did not come up with any fresh ideas. Nor did it enact any of its election promises. Indeed, the parliament never truly sat: not one vote was cast by parliament on one law.

The Grand Poohbah, our right honourable leader, ~Butchers was even more complacent than most. Whilst a couple of parliamentarians, namely *poprocksandcharlotte and ~happypelican did attempt to do some good work in parliament, ~Butchers did nothing. This is something we are very proud of.

This time around, we wish to announce that our platform will be one of consistency. If elected, the Deviantopia parliament will continue its trend of doing nothing. That's right, if elected, we will not do one thing.

This, however, will not stop us from campaigning harder than any other party. After all, it was fantastic campaign strategy which saw us win the last election. We will also implement the winning strategy of making incredibly attractive election promises. This was another factor in our success last time around.

In addition to that, this time we want to be more honest than we were in the last election. This time we wish to make it publicly known that we will not be enacting one single election promise.. and that is a promise.

Official candidates.

Below are a list of the five official party candidates we will be carrying with us into the next election. You will note that our leader, ~Butchers and the two other Not-PBBMCSCSP candidates, *poprocksandcharlotte and *Gibah will not be endorsed officially for the upcoming election. Instead, we have five fresh new candidates.

This does not mean you cannot cast a vote for these deviants individually. They are fine candidates and, as senior party members, have all helped shape the policy direction of the current election for Not-PBBMCSCSP. What it does mean is that you now have the opportunity to vote for five young, talented candidates in the upcoming election.

When you cast a vote for ~Not-PBBMCSCSP on the official voting thread, a vote will be cast for each of the following candidates:

If you are cluey, you will notice that all five of these deviants joined deviantArt for the sole purpose of helping ~Butchers secure a place in the DeviantArt parliament at one point or another. It was ~Butchers who first caused a real uproar in the elections of the second parliament by, through one means or another, having these deviants come into existence for the sole purpose of voting for him. Now they will seek to fulfil an even more devious plan: They will all be elected to the DA Parliament!
